Aims & Scope
The aims of GCE are:
-To promote research in comparative education in the six official languages of the United Nations viz. Arabic, English, Chinese, French, Russian, and Spanish.
-To offer a platform to share conceptual/theoretical perspectives, results of empirical research with different methodologies.
-To contribute to strengthening the capacity of the WCCES by utilizing comparative education to promote further global understanding and collaboration to emulate the idea of our interdependence and common humanity.
The readership of the journal comprises of students, scholars, practitioners, teachers of all levels of the educational systems, especially at the tertiary level, researchers, and government officials dealing with education in their respective regions with interest in comparative education.
Peer review process
GCE is a peer-reviewed journal with review time ranging between 2 to 6 months. At least three external reviewers are assigned to each article for review in a given time frame, excluding any member of the editorial team. The identity/ties of the author(s) is/are not known to the reviewer(s) and vice-versa.
Ownership and management
Global Comparative Education: Journal of the WCCES is fully-owned by World Council of Comparative Education Societies (WCCES) including its copyright.
Governing body
The governing body of GCE is its Advisory Board and Editorial Team comprising of luminaries from the field of comparative education.

Author fees
No fee is charged by GCE from the authors of papers submitted for possible publication after the peer-review.
Process for identification of and dealing with allegations of research misconduct
GCE follows COPE’s guidelines in dealing with allegations of research misconduct, including plagiarism, citation manipulation, and data falsification/fabrication, among others.
Publication Ethics
GCE has a well-established Policy on publication Ethics.
Publishing schedule
GCE is published twice every year – the first issue in March and the second issue in September.
Access
GCE is available for free download in pdf from its website to all the readers without any fee.
Archiving
The website of the GCE will continue to host all the articles published in the past. In addition, all the previously published articles are being securely archived in the WCCES cloud repositories.
Revenue sources
GCE is fully-supported by the internal financial resources of WCCES comprising of annual membership fee from its member societies, as well as donations, and grants from outside agencies. WCCES is a non-profit association under Art 60ff ZGB of Swiss law and a tax-exempt non-profit association under section 501(c)(3) of Title 26 of the Code of Laws of the United States of America.
